When Mr. Tringali created his own publishing company, it was only natural for him to put it in a town he loved
-- a town he called Calkins Harbor.
Why Calkins? Well, a lady by the name of Jane Calkins who lived
in 1822 was Mr. Tringali's biological great-great grandmother, and although they never met (few of us ever meet
a great-great grandparent), he built a character around her. You can read all about her and the wonderful characters
who inhabit Cap'n Kelly's Marina in Mr. Tringali's next book, Harbor of Refuge,
a novel about life and love, and what it really means to be a family.
