The Academy of Yachting Officers and Professionals is an intensive three day learning experience sponsored
by the International Commodores Association. The Academy provides everything a yacht club or yachting association
officer or professional needs to know in order to perform effectively in the complex and demanding world of club life.
Each participant who completes the entire program becomes a Fellow of the Academy.
The most recent Academy was held on February 23, 24 and 25, 2012 at the Wyndham Resort in Orlando, Florida. Twenty-five officers and general managers of yachting organizations participated and gave the program "high marks" in every subject. The registration fee of only $159 included all books, DVD's and course material
for the entire program as well as the opening "Meet & Greet" and the closing Saturday evening
